Decent stay at a seaside location

I found the location near the Gold Coast Beach good. The service was EXCELLENT. The reception desk staff was helpful. That i appreciate. The room size was big. It included a free mini bar.
The pool area was hot with no umbrellas. The food was average. It was cold at times. I think the hotel needs to improve on these issues.

a mixed experience
closed adult pool unhelpful hotel
the buffet dinner and breakfast were satisfactory.
The adult pool was closed. I just wanted to relax. i was emailed about add-ons, so i opted for the pick up from the airport service. i heard nothing back from the hotel and was told to get a taxi.

helpful directions comfortable bed
The staff helped me find directions to local attractions. It was really helpful. The hotel room was quite spacious and clean. I found the bed comfortable. The hotel provided a restful atmosphere away from the city's commotion.
The hotel buffet had a limited selection of items.
